Malin Fezehai

Malin Fezehai is a Swedish-Eritrean, New York-based photographer and filmmaker who works in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and America. 

She studied photography in her native Sweden before attending the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. Her work focuses on communities of displacement and dislocation – from the sinking islands of Kiribati and underage workers in Ethiopia, to the war torn lives of women in Sri Lanka.

She is the recipient of a World Press Photo Award 2015 (the first iPhone image to receive a World Press Award), the Wallis Annenberg Prize, and was named one of the 30 Emerging Photographers to watch by Photo District News in 2015.
